Ellora's Cave Publishing is proud to unveil their
2005 "Ellora's Cavemen" calendar just in time for the
holidays. The largest e-book publisher of "romantica"
in the world has recently started selling their novels
in Border's and Walden's book stores with great
success. The beautiful calendar features cover
models Rodney Chatman, Peter Dicicco, Bill Freda and
CJ Hollenbach. It has an Egyptian theme with the
guys burning up the pages wearing loin cloths and
less. It's a great stocking stuffer for the "hard to buy
for" romance reader. Each cover model also appears
on his own anthology cover for the "Tales From The
Temple" series, which are also hot sellers. The
calendar and anthologies can be found at
www.ellorascave.com
The EC 2006 calendar has nearly finished it's photo shoots. The orignal 4 cavemen will be back with an additional 4 new hunks to heat up the 12 months. This calendar has an animal theme with the guys lounging on faux animal skins. The men are also showing a lot of their own skin as well. CJ Hollenbach worked as production manager on the project hiring the models, photographer, scheduling the shoots and directing the shoot. Hollenbach, who also modeled for the calendar says "It's going to be great! The photography is unbelievable!" Patty Marks, CEO of Ellora's Cave Publishing said "We are probably going to make it an 18-month calendar. All the guys look so good we can't decide on just one picture each. I'm sure the fans won't mind...." You'll have to hold on to see this one, but Ellora's Cave hopes to have all their cover hunks at the 2005 RT St. Louis convention in April for a sneak preview. |

While romance modeling is not as well-known as other
types of modeling, it never-the-less enjoys a very
devoted and passionate following; it's terrific to have
an avenue like this for the fans and models to stay in
touch with each other. I'm looking forward to some
great conversations via the newsletter in the future!
One of my most recent projects includes doing the artwork for the Men of Romance calendar, available online or through Romantic Ventures Publishing, which I think readers of this letter will find very interesting. It features a lot of the models fans have come to know (and hopefully love!) including John DeSalvo, Rob Ashton, and Dominic Spinale, as well as some relatively new faces to romance modeling, such as Sly Bowden, Franco Carlotto and Lennell Dunbar. We did 14 unique cover illustrations done in a variety of historical settings- all very original and all definitely romantic. I am very proud of it and would love to know how it's received. I'd like all the Fortin and Sanders fans out there to stay tuned for a major website makeover over at www.fortinandsanders.com (thanks to our new webmistress Kelli Salkin). We'll be featuring many new paintings as well as artwork and prints for sale. Check with us in the next few weeks and please feel free to drop us an email or two. Some recent book cover work includes Jewell Mason's Lady Dragon, which features the modeling talent of Byannon Pozesseree (Heather Graham's very beautiful daughter) and Judith French's The Conqueror, which has my mug on the cover. We've also been taking commissions from Germany for a series of vampire novels by author Wolfgang Holbein- I can't read German so I wont vouch for the stories, but the covers look nice! Anyway, that's all that's new at the moment. I'll be sure to keep readers updated through this newsletter as often as possible. Thanks again for including me! Best regards, Cherif |
